Amelia County Beagle Club is an AKC licensed SPO Field Trial Club located in Amelia County, Virginia. Amelia County Beagle Club is also a member of the United Beagle Gundog Federation. (UBGF) We host an average of four trials per year hosted in our 2 running pens that are 20 acres each. We welcome everyone to attend our trials. If you are new to field trials or the sport of beagling, we encourage you to come to the trials to learn and enjoy the fellowship of fellow houndsmen and women. Are you thinking about entering your beagle in a field trial? A great first step is to learn about the different formats used in beagle field trials, which you can do here at our site by visiting the Links & Information page and watching the videos on the Pics & Videos page. We encourage new beaglers to enter their dogs in our two fun trials we have every year. It gives your dog the opportunity to be judged running a rabbit and gives you the opportunity to learn all the ins and out of a field trial first hand in a more relaxed atmosphere. We have great turnouts at the fun trials every year with plenty of good food, rabbit running action and good times.
